Brazilian soybean producers sold 3.5 million tonnes of the oilseed last week as higher prices following drought-related losses in Argentina boosted deals, consultancy AgRural told Reuters on Monday.

AgRural’s chief analyst Fernando Muraro said the soybean volume sold last week was the largest weekly amount changing hands so far in the 2017/18 season. Those deals brought total crop sales to 40.6 percent of the crop seen at 116.2 million tonnes.
